In 2008, UMUC offered 782 distinct courses online and had 189,505 online course enrollments worldwide—probably the largest number of online enrollments in the world. Currently, UMUC offers 116 bachelor's and master's degree programs and certificates fully online.

Credit Earning Options: Students may transfer up to 90 semester hours of credit from a four-year regionally accredited college or university. UMUC may also accept transfer credits from military and other non-traditional sources.
