Early Child Development - Associate of Applied Science in Interdisciplinary Studies
The Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (ASIS) with early childhood development emphasis is designed to provide students with the relevant knowledge and skills needed to be a certified professional working with infants, toddlers, pre-school, and kindergarten-aged children in a day care or educational setting. If you are already employed in child care and wish to earn recognized credentials, the ASIS with early childhood development emphasis is also for you. You’ll learn about infant and toddler development, nutrition, health, and special-needs care; and be introduced to subjects such as childhood education, creative activities, and curriculum planning. Graduates will be ready to work in early childhood programs such as child care centers, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs, Head Start, and before- or after-school care.

Educational Paraprofessional Teacher's Aide - Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies
The Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (ASIS) with Educational Paraprofessional emphasis area combines the strong foundation of interdisciplinary studies with specialized skills that will enable the student to be an effective paraprofessional in the classroom, child care center, or any other setting where instructional aides may be of assistance. While the interdisciplinary aspect of the degree addresses the general knowledge and critical professional skills of communication, critical thinking, and technical competencies, the Educational Paraprofessional emphasis area provides the relevant knowledge and skills for effectively instructing students of all ages and abilities. Additionally, many students who choose this emphasis area go on to pursue teaching certification after completion of the program.

Education - Master of Science
The Master of Science in Education (MSE) program and its curriculum are designed to provide experienced K-12 educators, both practicing and nonpracticing, with the knowledge and experience to meet nationally recognized standards. This graduate-level program is NOT an introductory program to teaching. It has been specifically created for experienced educators who want to continue on their journey as highly effective teachers and build personal and professional skills. It is also intended for individuals who want to pursue career advancement in areas such as leadership, professional development, or mentoring.

Higher Education - Master of Science
The Master of Science in Higher Education offers you a quality, comprehensive, 100 percent online program. Since many professionals in higher education go on to pursue doctoral degrees, a program goal is that learn you learn to think, research, and write with the sophistication of a higher education scholar. Your ideas will become more refined, and your administrative philosophies more enlightened.
You’ll graduate with the practical and academic knowledge and skills it takes to achieve great things in the real world. This program offers 3 specializations: student services, college administration and leadership, and college teaching and learning.
Student Services Specialization: Prepares you for leadership
positions at colleges, community colleges, universities, and technical and
vocational centers; including dean; department chair; and director of
admissions, financial aid, enrollment, housing, student associations, and
student services.
Teaching and Learning Specialization: Readies those with appropriate academic
credentials for faculty positions at the postsecondary level in many community colleges and technical
and vocational schools. Those with credentials in allied health and technical and industrial technologies,
as well as those who have at least 18 graduate hours in an academic discipline, would be ideal candidates
for this specialization, and will gain the skills to become effective postsecondary instructors in both
ground- and online-based institutions.
College Administration and Leadership Specialization: Helps prepare those who are currently working, or have past working experience, in a postsecondary institution to pursue a leadership position at a college or university in either an academic or student services capacity.

Teaching - Master of Arts (Iowa Certification Track)
Kaplan University’s Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program is designed to help prepare individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a subject other than education to become qualified secondary teachers in grades 5–12. Make your dream a reality by pursuing a career path where you can make a difference, one student at a time. The MAT program and its curriculum are designed to help career changers, retirees, and individuals in education fields with no or limited teaching experience master the art of teaching at the secondary (grades 5-12) level. This program is only for students who can fulfill fieldwork and student teaching/internship requirements in Iowa.
