Sacred Theology - Master
Liberty Theological Seminary’s Master of Sacred Theology program provides advanced training beyond the Master of Divinity for individuals called to service in full-time Christian ministry. Courses provide students with intensive study in areas of theology and apologetics, equipping students to understand the deeper elements of the Christian faith, as well as how they relate to contemporary issues faced today by the Christian church. Through coursework, research, and logical and critical writing, students are supplied with the values, knowledge, and skills needed to effectively serve in a variety of ministry-related roles.
Theological Studies - Master of Arts
Liberty Theological Seminary's Master of Arts in Theological Studies program is geared toward individuals seeking an introductory graduate degree in religion for service in a supportive role in their local church. Courses include surveys of the Old and New Testament and systemic theology, providing students with a solid foundation from which to understand the fundamentals of the Bible, Christianity, Christian theology, and the Christian church. This program is well-suited for pastors, Christian educators, informed lay leaders, and pastors' wives.
Theology and Apologetics - Doctor of Philosophy
The Doctor of Philosophy in Theology and Apologetics will prepare professional scholars and Christian community leaders at the highest level of scholarship. Graduates will be prepared to serve as faculty in academic institutions and as scholars and theologically and biblically informed leaders for the church and community. The program is set within the context of a conservative evangelical academic community in which students are challenged to develop the cognitive skills requisite to a rigorous interaction with biblical, theological, historical, and philosophical understanding necessary for a self-conscious, critical, and Christian response to the world. In this setting, students will have the opportunity to become part of a community of scholars in which they can develop the concomitant skills necessary for relational and professional competence. The PhD will further encourage students to explore the moral and ethical dimensions of their chosen field of study. Moverover, the program is designed to inculcate sensitivity to others and a concern for world evangelization through a vigorous defense of the gospel and a lifestyle of personal integrity and responsible scholarship. >> Request Information
