Christian Ministry - Bachelor of Science
The 120-unit Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry equips adult students for servant leadership in the local church and parachurch organizations. This program helps men and women increase their understanding of Scripture, develop practical skills for various church leadership roles, prepare for professional Christian ministry, and/or pursue graduate studies in the field. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, teamwork, problem solving, communication skills, understanding cultural diversity, ethical principles, and leadership strategies.
At the core, the Christian Ministry Major is firmly grounded in God's ongoing effort to draw all nations to Himself. This divine mission gives purpose and guidance to every ministry we perform. Since 21st century ministry settings are more multicultural than ever before, the program incorporates contemporary approaches for engaging diverse groups in creative and culturally relevant ways. Intercultural Studies - Bachelor of Science
This program helps
men and women increase their understanding of Scripture, develop
practical skills for various cross-cultural ministries, and/or pursue
graduate studies in the field. Typically, about three-quarters of
ministry students are already involved in volunteer or vocational
ministry, including intercultural ministry. They come to Hope
International University to deepen their theological roots, strengthen
their relationship with the Lord, and develop their ministry gifts.
In the 21st century, increased
mobility brings people groups into close proximity with believers in
community, creating many opportunities for cross-cultural mission
work. The Intercultural Studies Major equips students to think and
act in ways that encourage those around them to explore their
relationship with their Creator. It prepares students to establish faith

General coursework is offered through Hope and specialized coursework is negotiated with church planting organizations who are leaders in the field. Biblical Studies - Professional Certificate
The Certificate in Biblical Studies is awarded to students who complete designated groups of courses in a focused area of study. Students may take Certificate courses to fulfill degree requirements or simply for personal enrichment. The Certificate in Biblical Studies includes 18 units of training in how to read and study the Bible, including use of in-print and electronic tools for better understanding; study of the Old and New Testaments, and their historical context, literary forms, content, and practical applications for contemporary life; and equipping for servant leadership in the church and beyond. >>Request More Information
