Sustainable Business, Green Business
With an increasing emphasis on innovation and environmental and social responsibility, business professionals of forward-thinking organizations are becoming increasingly motivated by the effective implementation of sustainable business practices. The job market for sustainability-minded business professionals and b-school grads is growing. In a 2008 study by Net Impact and Ellen Weinreb CSR Recruiting, the number of corporate social responsiblity (CSR) jobs postings on two major CSR job sites increased 37% in a 3 1/2 year period. Even better news for green collar candidates is that this increase didn't include start-ups and non-posted jobs. Green jobs are also no longer segregated into their own category in the corporate world. More traditional job titles are including more and more sustainability-linked components within their job descriptions. |
